Recently I came across a strange phenomena: shops and malls were closed on Sunday.
I found out that this was initiated by KPND (Christian Democratic People's Party), which is one of the parties in the ruling coalition in Hungary.
The size of this party of faith fascists, compared to the Hungarian population, is like the size of a rat’s penis compared to the size of a whale’s penis: invisible and irrelevant.
But it’s not just about size; honestly, I do understand their intention: don’t go shopping, spend more time with your family instead! “Go to church, asshole!”
Yet, if I think about it, …this whole going-to-church-asshole thing is not really satisfying.
It sort of gives a bad example.
It is about cannibalism, vampirism and the exhibit of a corpse.
Confronting your family with McDonalds an H&M is less cruel, I reckon.
However, the law says that if a shop is family owned and a family member works in the shop, the shop can be opened on Sundays too.
If I was generous I would let churches get away with being a family business.
If I was generous, priests could call their altar boys ‘family’.
But, GOD is my witness: generosity is not my strong suit.
